Recently downloaded this add-on for firefox:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/blocksite/
Very useful to block annoying stuff from the likes of http://*.doubleclick.net etc...
I suppose some browsers include this feature anyway but thought I would mention it.

With the adblock plus plugin you subscribe to lists that get continuously updated

You can also just add any site you dont't want traffic from to your "hosts" file.
