I have a hybrid system which is is composed of an HT system and a stereo preamp with HT bypass. My room is very well treated with bass traps and absorbers. My HT uses Audyssey and I run 2 subwoofers. I hear that though Audyssey is good, MiniDSP enables time alignment and use of house curves to optimise bass.
I am considering the use of the MiniDSP for the stereo side. The chain on the stereo side is DAC>Preamp>Power amp> Speakers. Where do I bring in the MiniDSP and whey are the downsides of a MiniDSP in this setup
