I was asked by [member=21666]Zilch[/member] to revamp set of vintage Philips loudspeakers..

Factors considered:

  • What should I charge him- he is a student ?
  • I could be putting my time and effort into the revamp and he sells it at a whim?
  • I know he likes the speakers- it could be a sentimental keeper set for him.

Conclusion

  • Time consuming task but not difficult. Should be do able on the fly.
  • I like the idea of saving a vintage loudspeaker- wherever it ends up!
  • Lets gamble and see how it unfolds.

First Inspection

  • Lots of dings in the corners and edges. Not certain if it can be fixed or hidden?
  • Structurally the joints are in good nick.
  • A light sand suggest layers of layers of Mr. Min
