Cassette to digital
Neville:
Looking to convert some cassettes to digital. Would something like this be ok?

Any other suggestions?
Or anywhere I can get a regular cassette player with an output line?
I have on old Sony Hi-fi with double cassette player but both stopped working years ago. Wouldn't know where to start to look for someone to fix it. I'm in CPT if anyone knows of someone local.

My friend bought one
He and I fiddled for several hours. It is poorly made and implemented. A cassette deck fed into the line input of a PC and a program like Audacity is best

I use a sound card for transcribing - well 2 cards from reel and cassette decks and LP. Lookout for a basic Behringer if you can... it take it to CD quality. My Roland goes a bot further than that. PM if you need info.

Thanks for that. Although I have Audacity already, I'm in IT and the last thing I want to do when getting home is fiddle with more blerrie computers!

I'm looking at this now:

If it has a line out, I could probably record from it via AVR to laptop or such like?
