For years I have been using Firefox but of late I have been having problems with it... It slows my whole machine to a crawl (machine becomes almost unusable). I force it too close (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and then the computer is fine again.
It has gotten on my nerves so much that I have installed Chrome which is so much quicker... But with less features...
The problem is I need FF as I use firebug quite extensively and the firebug equivelent for Chrome is not as powerful...
I have updated FF and all plugins... I thought it was an XP problem but now I use windows 7 and have the exact same problem. I have two other machines (and a part time laptop) running in the office and they also have the same FF problem. I cannot pick up a real pattern to the problem but I suspect either Java or Flash is causing the slowdown.
Anyone experience the same thing?
