I saw in the suitcase TT amp post that a signal generator can be used to test transformers. Obviously they're useful for lots of other audio testing.
Didn't want to disrupt that thread, so thought I'd start a new one. What else is it useful for?
Can I get a cheapie? eg. https://reliablestore.co.za/products/1hz-500khz-fg-100-dds-functional-signal-generator-frequency-meter-signal-source-module-frequency-counter?variant=40021648965793&sfdr_ptcid=28846_617_672304710&sfdr_hash=f28c9543b4e37729ed7f7e15314eaa2d
What is important - primarily for audio. I would guess the range? What about the types of outputs?
Apologies for the many questions...
