For the Crimson King:

McDonald and Giles (S/T) 1970 Island Records

First copy I have ever seen in the wild and now very much in my collection.  It’s a bit crackly (need to give it a full deep clean), but otherwise pretty good.  File as KC’s 1.5th album.
I really tried to like that one as well as "Cheerful insanity of ..." but it didn't work out for me.

Of course, after the recent hullabaloo about the cover of tonight’s choice of music, I have decided to censor it - with another album cover…

I love music - analog and digital. Even listening to the Blues makes me happy. During the day I coach and counsel, after hours I indulge in my second passion - listening to vinyl and restoring turntables. Some I keep, some I sell...

"Sledgehammer" I think has taken a higher proportion of my hearing cells than any other song. It has been scientifically proven that it is physically impossible to NOT play it loud. No Englishman had the right to funk as hard as Gabriel did. And, as an afterthought, he went and made the best music video of all time? Goodness man, leave some for the rest of us.

The only two turntables I have that always work, consistently and reliably, first time out of the cupboard, without any issues, and in exactly the same state I have put them away, are my Technics SL1210Mk2 and my Linn Axis.

And they both sound very, very good, but I think I prefer the Linn Axis, even if just by a hair...

I do love this band. My son  pointed out to me  that  at  the  end  of Mr Blue Sky the lyric is actually "turn me over". Nice touch,  even on this greatest hits album it is at the end  of side b so you can indeed  turn it over.

Great Bruce Hornsby & The Range, and probably their best known album "The way it is". Every song on this album is a hit and the title song has been one of anthems of southern rock since the album came out in 1986.

Turntable playing this is Linn Basik, with Basik LVX arm and outstanding A&R Cambridge cartridge with original P77 stylus.

Everything here are bona fide treasures of the mid 80s.

I've probably posted this ten times, but when I hear it it is just so good...
