Sometimes I see when some laptops, or even all in one PCs are sold, its said the HDD is upgradable, but in brackets, only up to 500gb. Are the max size not dependant on the operating system only? I am thinking of upgrading the 256gb ssd in my old laptop to a 1TB ssd, but don't want any surprises.
Then, I will need to do a backup of the ssd, operating system and all. I do not want to do a clean new installation. I then want to restore the ssd on the new ssd from an external HDD.
