I'm very impressed  :o ;D.  Ubuntu Server 10.10 running on a memory stick, Squeezeboxserver cache/database folder symlinked and housed on a hard drive.

Ok **most** of my library is now loaded on the Microserver.  Squeezeboxserver performance remains snappy.   :-*
Looking at the scan results though I've just realised Squeezeboxserver's text delimiter is incorrectly configured - I see a rescan on the horizon.  :-\

For anyone running Squeezeboxserver on a x86 based Linux box and interested in making use of automated perpetual playlisting you'd do well to take a look at adding Spicefly SugarCube.  If there's genuine interest I'll make some time to post the installation instructions.

Just bought another Microserver from HPShop.co.za - on sale and just too good not to use as a family filserver.

Hi,

If I recall correctly, you are also using one as a HTPC, correct ?
If so, can you confirm what graphics card did you go with ? Are you running XBMC ?

Thanks

Not thought about using it to run XBMC - have an old Core 2 Duo doing duty as the XBMC media server in the lounge.  My idea is to relocate all movies, docs, pics etc to the 2nd Microserver but keep the Core 2 Duo as the front-end and it can act as the family file server.
