I've been enjoying these headphones for a while now, but just noticed an annoying creak on the left earcup.

The outer cover of the earcup is slightly recessed into the main cup;  and if one presses lightly along the circumference of the cover it produces fairly loud creaky noise.
I imagine that there is some kind of sound-deadening material sandwiched between the cup and the cover and this allows movement which creates the racket!

I tried to pull the cover off using a glass sucker, but it is stuck solid.
The idea being that if I can remove the cover, extra adhesive can be added to stabilize assembly.

Any suggestions?
