Meier Audio Corda Swing Headphone Amplifier
« on: March 23, 2021, 11:48:52 AM »
Hi all,

As you may have noticed I will be taking this little gem off Arie's hands for a while.  My decision was partially informed by @Hi-Phibian 's comments in the sales thread, which has been pruned for some unknown reason - I for one thought Guillaume's inputs added value to the ad.

In any event ... I may want to squeeze a little more out of the little Swinger, @Hi-Phibian care to list those mods again?

Apologies ... mixed up my Graham Meier and Jan Slee ...

But now that I started the thread, anyone with experience on the baby Corda and possible mods to improve on it?

Nothing obvious as the Corda is already built with what many would call premium parts.
From what I remember Wima poly and Panasonic FC lytics.  Different wouldn’t be hard but unquestionably better would take boutique parts.  I think even the diodes are soft recovery already.

Depends how much you are prepared to throw at it.  But you not going to gain much with say R200-400 worth of parts.

I suggest you listen to it first.

It is not going to compete with a Phonitor but I listened to it all weekend exclusively.
Low Z headies (TH-X00) and a variety of genres.
I did not feel I was missing out on much at all.
