As most of you know I got a Yamaha PL-1000 TT with an AKG P8 cart and Project II phonostage during December.

My problem is that I am not always sure that vinyl is really as good as many says. There are times that I really enjoy the music flowing from this, but then there are times that I feel something is missing.

I am still trying to find out if vinyl is in fact better than CD, although it is different. This may be an unfair comparison(vinyl vs CD) as the majority of my CDs are very good recording quality, whereas almost all the LPs I have has been through the mill and probably did not start of being the best quality available anyhow.

My predicament is whether I should invest further into this medium or just accept that I have it and occasionally spin a LPs just for the nostalgy associated with it.
