Sad day indeed, but they have done really well for an electronica duo, nearly 30 years!

Really enjoyed the Tron: Legacy soundtrack.

I am Joe’s broken heart

Thank you for the memories. I had my heart set on seeing them live at Alive 2027 but it was not meant to be (I thought they would’ve done 2017, 10 years being their number between Alive Shows)...

Excellent video.  What a masterpiece way of doing it, of announcing it.

Excellent video.  What a masterpiece way of doing it, of announcing it.
The clips they had already from the full version of the “movie”...I distinctly remember having seen the explosion before. They just added in the date Ending.
I’ve also been trying to find the full version of that “film” for years with zero luck

Many of the random access memories videos feature red scenes from this desert film...

They were originators and creative masters always

The writing has pretty much been on the wall for anyone paying attention. They haven't released anything since 2013's Random Access Memories.

Yes...decided to quit, not feeling creative about it anymore.  Quite natural. Too bad for the record company/corporate/etc involved.
