Looking for old transistor equivalents
« on: February 22, 2021, 04:17:21 PM »
Currently busy with a Douglas Self power amp build :winkwink:

This build is from 1997, and as such some required transistors are not manufactured anymore.

I would like to ask our experts here what replacement transistors they'd recommend for the following...
MPSA56 (TO-92)
2SA1302 (TO-3P)
2SC3281 (TO-3P)

Thanks for looking!
If you don't understand the difference between "their", " there", and "they're", then your an idiot.

Mpsa56 should still be available.
MJL3281 can be used for the 2SC type but not TO3P. MJ21194 & MJ21193 going on memory should be close.

Thanks.  Looked again on Mouser and not sure how I missed the MPSA56.

I found some NOS 2SA1302 and 2SC3281.

Mods please lock.
