This technology has been much talked about lately and is finally here (well not SA just yet ;D)

1,000,000:1 Contrast ratio and 100% colour reproduction, oh and the actual display is only 3 - 4 mm thick  :o Can't wait for this to hit our shores

bubble_boy:
i knew i should have waited!

do they say anything about resolution on those screens? and size? i remember reading somewhere that they will be pretty small compared to what you can get in plasma.

skinnyfat:
3mm thick YES 3mm  I think 28" is biggest ATM but they WILL get bigger as the tehcnology is developed further.

Resolution is currently 1080p so no prob there ;D

Jem:
Looks great, but with still high prices of decent sized LCD and Plasma TV's can our market even consider O-LED TV. Further with our history of poor broadcast quality it will be a waste to invest in O-LEO.

Heh heh yeah, that remains to be seen. I'm curious to see what DSTV's HD broadcast is going to be like
