Hi Guys , a few months back i started building my own KSA 50 inspired class A amplifier.
Takes a while between other projects and financial responsibilities but over the last week much progress has been made.
Here i am testing the boards after i assembled them with a 500va +-35v power supply i am using for my surround amplifiers.
I soon found out that with just bare heat sinks and 50w 8ohm Class A bias , The heat sinks crept up to 60+ degrees C.
I then experimented with a fan enclosure design that will have cool air flowing over heat sinks.
This got the heat sink temp down to 40 degrees C even though my tests was done with cardboard placed with empty classes holding things together.
