Has anybody built their main stereo speakers (floorstanders) around this budget and how does it compare to buying speakers for that value (current new price market value), or even second hand.
I used to build my own speaker cabinets back in the day (not that I am old now) and they used to sound pretty decent with a puny budget. What are the oprions for drivers etc and how does quality compare to say a set of Kefs, monitor audio.
