I am looking for someone who can help me repair this Ampex ATR700
Me and my Father wants to sell it but it needs some repairs- It was used at teh SABC Studios for some time and then at Radio Pulpit for some time.
So we need to either sell it AS IS - or repair it and then sell it.
Problems with the machine:
1. Channel 2 does not work - nou audio from channel 2 ( Channel 1 works )
2. Counter does not work - could only be the belt
3. Output is very low - unless it is the tape I am using.
4. It is a 110v Machine - so at the moment I am using my variable transformer to drive it.
The rest of the reel seems to we working well - forward and rewind , play and pause , auto stop etc looks good.
Is there anyone on the forum maybe who can help with this? Pretoria area.
OR - maybe we need to sell it AS IS - Reasonable offers?
