Hi guys,

I have a question regarding bi-amping.

I'm selling most of my current setup to a mate, and he wants to go the bi-amping route. We're going to test it this weekend and I'd like to do it correctly.

We have two Linn LK100s and would like to bi-amp a pair of Infinity Ref 60s.

The speakers have biwire connections, so we're Ok there, I'm guessing.

If I understand correctly, one of the amps will power the mid/treble of both speakers and the other will power the bass. Yes?

How do we get signal from the pre-amp into both power amps? I assume we'll need a special Y-split cable made up?

Will this really be of significant benefit? From what I understand "passive" bi-amping doesn't really make a massive difference.

Is this correct?

Any help will be appreciated.
