Connecting a second pair of speakers to a stereo amplifier

Hi guys
I have a NAD 317 stereo amplifier and I want to run a second pair of speakers at the same time as playing the main speakers. The 317 only has connections for one pair of speakers. What would happen if I connect the two L's and the two R's from both pairs of speakers and connect them up to the amplifier?
