exchange rate - how do you figure that?

They cancelled the orders on the day the Rand gained against the dollar.

I have just got an SMS from my bank , funds are back in my account .

Makro sorted this out quite quickly compared to other companies I've dealt with that had to refund.

Interesting, nothing in my ABSA credit card yet. Was your original payment by credit card or EFT?

Makro sorted this out quite quickly compared to other companies I've dealt with that had to refund.

I wish Makro sorted my order/payback out this quick.  It is now two weeks since I placed these orders and other than the "Oops we made a mistake" and a R100 gift SMS I have received nothing.  No payback of the R9800 nor do the answer my enquiry email to the address given in the "Oops we made a mistake" email.  It took them four days to read the email and it since they read it, two days have passed without any reply.

The value of the R100 gift voucher is quickly being nullified by the interest lost due to the money not being in my account.

I once pitched up at the PnP in Lonehill Shopping Centre (about a year ago) and saw they had those little milk chocolate Wonder Bars marked at 59c each.  Bargain, and we had people coming over, so I took 10.  Rang up, lady said "this price isn't right".  Called over manager, manager checked the price on the rack, checked the price on the till and I got them at the 59c price.

Three days later I'm there again, same line, and I check the rack.  Same chocolates, same price.  So I took the rest of the stock (about 30 of them).  Same issue - manager called and he goes "well, they were supposed to fix it but they didn't", and I got them at the low price again.

Classic!  :BWAHAHAH:

On AVSA there's a Conrad Johnson PV-8/MV-75 pre/power combo going for R15k.

Might be worth a look. (CT people)
