I read somewhere in this forum, that someone who also owned a yammie of the above model, struggled with quality when hooking up his ipod.

I bought the remedy tec special, amp, blu-ray, ipod docking station.  My wife bought us the ipod for christmas (the last one on the shelves in jhb by the way!!!)

the ipod docking station (yamaha pdx-30) is amazing!! the quality and power or shall i say loudness - it can go extremely loud - wow i was impressed, my friends that have seen it also very impressed - nice one yamaha.

Now getting on to what i wanted to say, i connect a cable up to my 767 and plugged in the ipod (via the headphone socket) - wow the quality is the same as a cd - the signal is slightly weaker than a cd but still - i can just turn up the volume (i have locked it a +5db as any more than that and i can blow my speakers - dont want to do that) but at full volume - +5db with the ipod - awesome - i'm not complaining.

so i'm not sure how the other guy in this forum connected up the ipod or how he got the music onto the ipod, but i'm happy with the quality.

oh and i took one of my top gear epidsodes and converted it into .mov and watched it on the ipod as well, wow also brilliant quality.
you can use you tube downloader program to convert it - works like a charm and its free  :) :) :)
