Happy birthday @Wolla !! I hope you have many happy tunes ahead!
That snoek looks really delicious. Enjoy!
Thanks so much @Curlycat and thanks also for the awesome birthday present, it looks right at home with the other 2 stands I got from you. The one you gifted me has the Philips SHP895 hanging from if. I found good use for the short one too 😷😜

happy birthday Wolla  and Eric too

If i was selecting my last meal it would have to be a massive plateful of Veg Biryani (since i'm vegetarian) chockfull of large new (soft cooker) potatos and accompanied by Dhall, with sides of Raitha, Sambals, and pickled Beetroot salad washed down with a 2.25 litre Coke Zero (has to be zero cos i'm diabetic) ..... this has to be my favorite food but haven't had it for around 6 months cos of the lockdown

Haha, thanks @naughty . Your meal does sound very nice, but way to healthy for your ‘last meal’.

As a kid growing up, there were three of us in the same street with birthdays on the same day - myself, kid across the road and kid two houses away.

At work there were also three of us, the stars & planets must have lined up nicely on my birthday :)

haha - Biryani Healthy ..... nope - its very fattening especially if you have it with loads of potato as i described - just the sides are probably healthy  :giggle:

after a plateful of this stuff you will probably sleep like a baby because its that heavy - especially with a large helping of Dhall added in

Last wish would be from a local independent but I can live with FEBO.  Excuse the pun.

You just reminded me about croquettes! Haven't had those since my Gran! She used to make them with a shredded roast chicken salpicón.

Yes ! Braaied Karoo lamb chops cooked on hot coals with crispy fat and pink inside , a whole pile , with Skilpadjies on the side , desert will be warm Lindt chocolate browns , moist , with real cream vanilla icecream .

I like this. I'd go for smilies and veg or some pens-en-pootjies & sugar bean curry.

Peri-peri prawns and calamari with chips, Portuguese rolls and butter. A light lager for during dinner and a smoky, peaty malt after. Port Ellen if I get to choose!
