What would you order for YOUR ‘last meal’?
« on: August 15, 2020, 02:27:34 AM »
Ok I was wondering, say you had somehow gotten yourself into a situation where you had to order your ‘last meal’ and you could order anything and not worry about your arteries and what your doctor said the last time you went for that uncomfortable checkup.

What would you order?

(Mods, please move this thread if needed)

Since I asked the question, I’ll go 1st. Mine would probably not be very extravagant or sophisticated.

I think a kg of salami sticks will do it for me. No flossing afterward either 🤣🥴😵

Chicken Bhuna and pilau rice with some popadoms from the local Indian restaurant back home in the UK.  With a case of craft pale ales to go with and a packet of 20 Gauloises red blonde smokes

Special gourmet food for some - reconstituted chicken, deep fried in "mature" cooking oil and washed down with 1 litre of Coca-Cola

When I was a teen Prue Leith made a Beef Wellington for lunch. It was scrumptious.

I'll have that, then tagging along with JonnyP I'll add a case of Maisel's Weisse & a pack of Camel Filter.

Haha @Pax not to worry to much.

What prompted my Post is that I received this here personally selected BD hamper from my thoughtful better half last night.

I only had one Salami stick from this last night since it was after dinner, but if it was my ‘last meal’, I would have happily finished the lot 😏

These were almost as nice as the ones you gave me the other day.

Here’s the hamper - best BD prezzy ever.

Braaivleis with Karoo lion skaap chops and boerewors, accompanied with cheese, onion and tomato braaibroodjies. Potato salad, maize pap with whole corn and a green salad with olives and fetta. Finish it off rum and raisin ice cream and a good ground cuppa real coffee.  ^-^
