I can confirm, the same happened to me (first time ever, was on the 29th).

Create a "white-list"

Google are continually fiddling with Google search and GMail.  Not all fiddles are progressive.  Some of the search questions provide peculiar results

"li100-93.members.linode.com did not encrypt this message"

I think this is part of the issue

chrisc nailed it.  In a nutshell.
Google is nuts/weird sometimes.  Not just the UI changes, that sometimes bother people too much, the search is somewhat problematic lately.  It's like it just does its own thing and you have to go back and put quotes around single words so you don't get results at the top with the word ignored. Used to be that was only necessary to keep a phrase intact.  And I had to install uBlock just to get Hangouts list right so I could actually select a person.

This one probably won't affect me because I have a "filter" that assigns the label "Audio" and includes "never send to Spam" and "Important" just because.

adding no-reply@avforums.co.za as a contact seems to have sorted it for now

I've been having the same issue the past few days, no matter how many times I mark and report as "not spam"
Not quick learners these Googlers... >:(

Gonna muck about with settings now and will report back.

It's Google. Same problem here, including some other filters as well. Very annoying to have a grey banner almost  larger than my screen.

Send your complaint to Google - in your Gmail window click on the questionmark icon top right, send feedback.

Other sites/forums are complaining about the same issue.
It may help if enough people complain.

yep, got 3 that would not normally go to Spam folder . Including Stereophile, and artistunion (music promotion, to say they are closing down .)  I wouldn't have noticed except for this because Spam folder now not visible without scrolling.
