I have received an order for an amplifier that is low power, but very high quality sound. The design using 6V6G, 6J5GT and 6SJ7GT tubes with a 5U4G rectifier was approved. Chassis is brushed stainless steel with brushed aluminium covers over the transformers. Bluetooth receiver integrated.
I was temted to do the poindexter, but the idea of using fixed bias on 6V6G put me off. I wanted long term stability on the output tubes. They are quite hard to replace.
This circuit will be the inspiration
I will probably use a different rectifier and the choke/filter caps values will be adjusted as PSUD2 recommends.
