You have R6000 to buy a set of NEW speakers to use for many years with various amplifiers.  We are looking for the best sounding, most versatile cheap speaker that can be bought brand new at the moment.  This may obviously not include any second hand speakers.  Prices quoted based on Google Searches in SA Stores.

The contenders (that I could find - feel free to add) are:
Bentley Acoustics FR100 Bookshelf Speaker Pair  - R4499
Wharfedale Diamond 11.1 Bookshelf Speaker pair - R4499
