With a choice piece of wood, a pair of pliers for yanking a better needle from say an old Grasshopper discard, a suitable router bit, a bastard file and a bit of elbow grease, you can transform an old Shure M75ED Type 2 needle to something a bit more interesting to look at and to listen to.
