The Q90's, although brilliant speakers, look so crappy I feel I have to do something to them before letting them go for audition.
Last night I decided to try fix the smashed surround, using the good speaker as a plug to make a mould to fix the bad one. I don't have enough silicone or PU on hand to make a complete surround, so I'm doing the broken quarter. The plan is to cast it in PU, square it off, cut out the damaged bit on the old one, match the new piece in, fix any blemishes with Pratleys putty, and then spray.
I don't know how to intersperse text and pics in one post, so I'll have to do it in separate ones.
