Hi All,
I have been using an Audio-gd NFB 15 (http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/Headphoneamp/NFB1532/NFB15.32EN.htm) for the last 4 years and recently it was used as part of a Hauptwerk system. It worked really well. The headphone amp did a great job driving my Audio-Technica ATH-M50 headphones. Unfortunately it broke...
I am looking to spend about R3000-R4000 in total for DAC + Headphone amp. Combined would be a bonus but not required. High resolution is not important here, 44Khz is fine. Rather low latency is what Hauptwerk really needs. I know the recommendation is to use an Audio Interface but their DACs often aren't great and they are quite costly for what you get. The Audio-gd proved that great results can be had for a reasonable price.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I am open to second hand options as well.
Thanks!
