This thread is aimed specifically at diy speaker builders who design their own speakers based on measured T/S parameters...
Do any of you run your drivers in before designing the enclosures and if so, how?
I have recently seen drastic changes in T/S parameters not after playing music but after running the speakers at high excursion (a little more than xmax) for a few hours. Not continuously but 1 second on then 1 second off, and so on. The on/off cycle is just to prevent overheating of the voicecoil and/or amplifier.
Surely a 20% change in Fs and/or Qts would affect the enclosure design?
