Im in the early planning phase of a new Home Theater. At the moment im thinking of a rather large space 10x12m in size. It would have 3 rows of 5 seats. The reason for such a size is to give more width and separation for the surrounds and to fit in 3 rows of seating.

I have no idea about the benefit of such a size other than the belief bigger is better, coupled with the limited information out there about it. As a compromise it could be scaled down to 3 rows of 3 seats each, but that brings the surrounds closer to the main listening position.

Acoustically speaking, what would be the benefits of the one size over the other? I know about the limitations of a smaller space, but are there any to consider when going bigger to my maximum size?
