An electronics friend is making these at the request of several friends who are fed up of having no internet connection during load shedding.  It could also be used for a portable phone

It consists of battery charging module for the 3 lithium-ion batteries enclosed in a neat polycarbonate case, with power (in-green) and (out-blue) indicators.  This can charge and deliver voltage at the same time, unlike the unit sold by Amazon

There are 2 flying leads with 12 volt output.  This is designed to run a standard wi-fi router for at least 4 to 5 hours.  It was tested with a D-Link DSL router and lasted 6 hours.  Each device seems to require between 1/4 and 1/2 amp

Recharging is achieved with a supplied 2 amp plug in power supply and is complete in 6 hours (assuming the batteries are fully depleted)

Size:  160 x 100 x 40mm

On request, the unit can be supplied with alternative voltages (24 VDC, 9 VDC and 5 VDC) to suit the application

Price R 1180,00.  Collect in Cape Town or ship via PAXI or Postnet.  12 months warranty.  The battery life is expected to exceed 10 years
