Dolby Atmos content
« on: January 13, 2020, 08:47:22 PM »
What is the best source for Dolby Atmos.

I have been streaming my Atmos content from Apple movies and Netflix. Will a Bluray disc be better (sonically)? If so what format (e.g. Dolby TrueHD?) must I look out for on the Bluray?

Thanks

4K uhd Blu-ray discs with native Atmos content are indeed sonically superior to streaming.
Few “standard” Blu-ray discs have Atmos soundtracks.

if a disc has an Atmos soundtrack then it will feature the Atmos logo at the back - if it doesnt state Atmos anywhere then it just has the core formats and it will simulate Atmos if you set up your AVR to do that

Thanks guys.

What player would I require as a start? Will Xbox One S work as a player  for Dolby Atmos?

Thanks
