Guaranteed to be ECC82 or 83.....my memory fails me as to which though.

The Steinhart preamp had too much gain for my taste. I think it had a 12AX7 with one half gain stage and one half cathode follower. His power amplifiers needed a bit of "woema" to get to max output.

I am also not a fan of the 12AX7 / ECC83 super high gain tube, Mr Mars
