I'm looking for suggestions on a decent and cheap (<R2000) USB to SPDIF interface, or a solution to an issue with my mobo's (Z390 Aorus Pro) optical output.

The issue is that but I get random clicks/pops in Chrome when using the optical output on my mobo. However, the issue disappears when I switch to ASIO in Foobar. This suggests that it's not an issue with my active speakers, but rather my mobo. I've tried increasing the buffer in Chrome, but that results in Chrome not playing any audio. I've force uninstalled and reinstalled Realtek drivers, and the clicks went away until I rebooted my PC. I'd prefer not to use analogue inputs on my active speakers as that will result in a double D2A conversion. Also, my speakers are dead silent when I use the optical input, but they produce a really, really soft hiss with balanced/aux inputs due to A2D noise.

I've read that the Topping D10 is a decent USB to SPDIF interface. Does anyone with a D10 run into clicking/popping issues on Chrome? Also, is it advisable to buy from Amazon (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/Topping-Amplifier-ES9018K2M-OPA2134-Decoder/dp/B06X9MB1XW/)? I don't want to get a knock-off or b-stock, but I also don't want to import from audio specialists like Shenzhenaudio because I need to buy some other stuff from Amazon.
