I acquired recently a Soekris DAC1421 and have been having a lot of problems with driving it using the USB connection. I'm running a current copy of Windows 10, which provides a driver for USB Audio Mode 2. Initially I ran the DAC in mode 2 using the Windows driver but my problems started when I installed and ran the Soekris USB 2 driver. I won't bore you with the details but would be happy to hear from anyone who has been down the same path. I'm reasonably adept with Windows so have pursued the goal of eradicating any trace of the Soekris driver from my system - it's extraordinarily persistent. Very happy with the sound but the driver thing has rather coloured the experience. Asked the factory but received no reply, which as odd as the owner (Soren Kristensen) has been happy to answer queries in the past. I guess the driver was bought in and the query has got stuck with the developer.
