Need help with a Sony TTS-3000 turntable and a Rabco sl-8 arm

Hi I recently got a Sony TTS-3000 turntable with w SL-8 linear tracking arm from my grandfather and I have got everything working but I still need some parts and some clarification on how it works as I am not sure if the rabco arm must continuously move are not .

And I also need some parts for the turntable such as new springs for the feet and so on , is there anyone who can provide some assistance
