Busy with a DIY amplifier project and ran into a slight problem. Need advice on something.
I want to fit a volume pot and also a selector switch but my problem is the face plate is 8 to 10mm thick. So the stuff I currently have or can buy don't have enough thread on the part that has the nut to secure it through the hole to the face plate that still needs to be drilled. I checked local sites and it seems the standard is a shortish threaded part.
I would like to even fit a earphone jack and this also seems to be a problem. Any advice would be appreciated.
