Revolving Around & Around

Hi Guys,

I really find this here Lance Dixon guy too shy for words. He creates the most amazing turntables that surely rank among the very very best to be found, yet he tells nobody about them. He does not even flaunt them ... Mum's the word. His latest creation out of solid / laminated and hand rubbed French Polish Walnut tells it all.

To me, a thing of Great Beauty and ultimately desirable once you get to listen to it. I heard one in Jacaranda, fitted with a Graham Tonearm as well as an SME 5 tonearm / van den Hul Colibri on both, and it is instant WANT

Clamp with walnut inset

French Polished to perfection :2thumbs:

With dedicated stand housing the control unit as well (the little round thingy below is just a rotating platform to enable better set up of the system, not to be used to listen to music of course)

I wish, had I the money It would be mine...  :rubhands: I know the pedigree of the drive system and motor sourced all the way from Switzerland. The stuff that goes into NASA programmes. Lance should talk a bit about the actual mechanical design concept seeing as it is more spaceship / levitation stuff than "just" bearing and bush only.

Hey guys, thanks for the positives!! Only quiet because of the usual pressures associated with running your own business, I know that you guys know!

Also working hard at furthering the Revolve TT project. Made two American Walnut plinths to show a different look to the original Jacaranda plinths.

The prototype was stripped to check various elements for wear etc after 18 months of running, and it is back up and running again.

Oh and that round gizmo thingy under the TT stand is also a 'turntable' so that the whole rig could be rotated (Revolve...get it!) for a video shoot that was done recently, we are busy doing a promotional video that I will use in an attempt to entice overseas interest.  I will post links etc as soon as it is done.

Spiderman, I will think about doing some tech info explanations on some aspects of the Revolve design.
