Greetings all,

A capacitor on one of my Meridian 105 power amps is leaking electrolyte (?) so I want to replace all four caps. The current units are ITT 6800 uF 63V (per spec), marked KA10A HD 8019 ("vintage", apparently !).

I had a look on Mouser and was presented with a variety of Nichicon parts and a single Kemet unit, at prices that vary from R86 to R380, the main variant appearing to be the volume of the cap itself. I know nothing of these matters so welcome any suggestions from more experienced / knowledgeable list members.

One constraint is the room available in the case. The ITT caps are 78mm by 45mm (length x diameter) and there's little room for anything bigger, although given the sub-optimal cooling of the standard cases I'm thinking of rehousing the electronics in (a) more capacious case(s)
