PCI-E Board manufacturers?
« on: November 03, 2019, 10:38:56 PM »
Hi guys. I've asked this question over on Carb as well. Still hoping for someone...

I'm looking for leads to local manufacturers of PCI-E cards. I have an idea I'd like to discuss with them.
Any directions are greatly appreciated.

Kindest,
Sasha

What do you mean? Bare PCBs or turnkey? Do you have a design or do you need someone to design? Why the requirement for them to be local?

Hi DACMan!
1) Local is lekker. If it turns out to be something it could help a few people off their feet. Ideally a young tech startup or a geeks in a garage.
2) I'm no expert in hardware so I'm looking for a designer and manufacturer for a turnkey solution.

I have the concept idea but I'm not tech savvy to actually build what I want.
Hope this helps.

Which gen? Gen1 & Gen2 usually not an issue. Gen3 different story but possible if your board house has strict control over the laminate provider.

Gen1 and 2 I guess. I only need something very basic. See how dof I am?

In that case it's no big deal as long as your stackups are OK. Done plenty of those even with dubious suppliers without issue.
