Hi Judy

On your title you say yes it says 20Hz. Is that you confirming that it goes down that low or just quoting what the specs said but not vouching for it?

^^^ I just pointed out that it's NOT a typo and a spec that should not be overlooked...  Yamaha vouches for it.

Not many subs at this price can make this claim... it's honestly a lot of "bass" for the buck.

How does this compare to the newer model NS-SW300? On paper the specifications are the same.
I am still loving the two units that originated from your shop. Have a third I use in my music room but could always use another sub.

Correct... On book specs are the same, so effectively the replacement unit will set you back almost R9K!!

Construction is totally different though.. down fire (albeit via the VERY controlled QD-Bass TECHNOLOGY) verses front fire. So I think maybe the difference would not so much be in performance, but more in placement? and preference?

Either way... it's awesome and definitely worth the spend, as it at least compares to any other sub on my book between the R7-10K marker.

In my humble opinion a great price for a really nice sub. I was lucky enough to pick up a 2nd hand one, in excellent condition, albeit somewhat dusty for an R800 steal.

The sealed Tannoy mostly does music duty but when firing up a movie, the Yamaha comes into play very nicely.
