Hi good AV'ers...

Just wanted to ask a question about tweeter domes being pushed in....

Is it a case of once a tweeter dome is pushed in, its effectively broken and needs replacing, or can certain tweeters materials be 'straightened out' with no affect on the sound afterwards compared to before??

The reason I ask is I was in an unamed shop today looking at a nice pair of Dynaudio Audience 72's (which I'm looking to buy a pair of), but the textile tweeter had been pushed in. The guy in the shop said that it can just be pulled out, and it'll be fine, but I just wanted to check what you good folk think?

Obviously, metal domed tweeters cannot be 'straightened', as the metal will hold the kink, but fabric or nylon? I know it can be physically pulled out, but will the tweeters performance be affected afterwards?

Thanks in advance.

G!
