What a beaut.  Some small alignment to be done on the needle diaphragm it seems. But it is the best I have seen.

As stated by Rogan, it is most likely a replica. The give-away is the very new and shiny looking horn. An authentic unit would have a tarnished horn and it is recommended that one not polish it as it will detract from the value. They are quite often made in India where they use old repurposed wood of the same type as an authentic gramophone and it is very difficult to tell them apart.

A Looong time ago I was looking at these as I really wanted one as showpiece. The seller told me that most parts, apart from the horn and wood, are original from the "His Masters Voice" factory. So replica, but apparently some of these were with some original parts.

Agree. The HMV horn gramophone is replicated in large numbers, mainly from India.
I saw Sputnik, well... actually the booster rocket that went into orbit with it!!
