NAD 3020 and Technics SL12

Both of these are classics and are still in demand.

I was just wondering what they were priced at when they were launched?

I bought a new 3020 in 1981 for R189 (no discount) from Holscher in Cape Town.

NAD 3020 went for UK £80 or US $135 in 1978.

SL12 not sure.

If my maths is right, US$1 was ZAR 0.87 in August 1978, so that should work out to about R155. Excluding import, shipping and handling and tax and whatever.

NAD3020e was 99 GBP in 1988 when I got one.  Couldn't afford an SL1200 at the time.  Dual 503? (not sure of the model) was about 119 GBP IIRC.  NAD 5120 was launched around that time at 99 GBP too.
