So far, so good. I can't complain about my Hisense "well the wife want's a bigger one now". Why I went for the Hisense because of the 5 year warranty and there where some good reviews on them. I know some of the guys on the group where talking good stuff about Sinotec to.

+1 on the Hisense. Although the UI does jam sometimes, it doesn't happen very frequently. It's great value for money in my opinion. TVs depreciate so quickly, that it sometimes is not worth getting the latest and greatest tech as you'll be upgrading every 5-6 years.

+1 on Hisense service.

I had an issue with a unit that required software reload.
Technician came, fixed / reloaded software within 48 hours of logging the issue.

I have 3 of their TVs, besides the one mentioned above, the rest have been highly reliable.

My guess is that a 70" LG at that price will be an edge-lit IPS panel which means poor local dimming and poor contrast (albeit with wide viewing angles).
If anyone prefers size over picture quality then go for it otherwise stay away. Generally speaking any LG TV that is not an OLED is not worth it considering the competition these days.

So I couldnt wait, bought the 65Q8600 on Thursday last week 15k Tafelberg. I am not sorry.  Don't care if it's on sale. I can confirm menu is slightly different to the H9F but basically the same TV

Is there a big difference between the Hisense 65B8000 and the 65Q8600? Looking at their specs, I cant seem to see much difference. What am I missing?
The 65B8000 is going for R 12K.
I saw Sputnik, well... actually the booster rocket that went into orbit with it!!

The 8600 has 132 zones of local dimming, the 8000 is edge lit, contrast 4000:1 where as 8600 is 5000:1 and the panel is 120hz. If I'm not mistaken

Hi, the 8000 isn't edge lit and does have a fald display. I believe its the h8f equivalent. Differences are mainly brightness and amount of dimming zones.
