Hi Guys

Hopefully have this in the right section..

I have 2 x 2mp IP bullet cameras. I'm running on a 20mbps Adsl line

The NVR and 2 cameras are connected to a POE switch. Another Ethernet then from switch into router.

So

Camera, NVR into switch
Ethernet cable from switch to NVR.

The problem im having currently, is that as soon as I plug the Ethernet cable into the router (for remote viewing), it cuts my entire entire internet connection. I would then have to reboot the router a few times, to get my internet connection back up online. I am stumped as to what the issue might be.

I've whittled it down to either a bandwith issue, or possibly an IP conflict.

In terms of IP, I have set both cameras and NVR in the IP reservation pool on the router, so that it's off the network in terms of the rest of the devices. My other devices are running IP pool between 100-199.

I hope that makes sense of my current situation, so hoping there is an expert on this.

PS: note that I have also dropped the cameras bit rate and frame rate, along with the resolution.
