I acquired one Schalk?s
reputable integrateds earlier this year. Turns out it was the earliest model (Serial no. 005), which was rare to find in Australia of all places.
Unfortunately, there has been a humm that the amp produces through the speakers that I have been unable to fix. The amp has been plugged into different locations, speakers, tubes replaced and even my amp tech has checked it over, replacing a few caps for slight measurement improvements but no audible improvement.
My amp tech guy is unable to do anything more with the circuit board without further info or schematics.
Has anyone got a copy of the manual, schematics, experience with the Predator? Any assistance would be much appreciated to help get it running like new again.
