Yep, just seen this too. Very sad news and they were the first rap band I ever listened to.
Licenced to Ill will forever remain in my top 20 best albums of all time....

Adam Yauch (MCA) from the Beastie Boys died last night after a long struggle with cancer.

This band is legend -- if you love hip hop then Ill Communication and Licenced to Ill have to be in the collection, if you prefer jazz then there's a compilation of instrumentals called The In Sound From Way Out is the sh!t.

RIP, man  :'(

Paul's Boutique is their best in my opinion. I thought Ill Communication was a huge misstep, but at least it gave us Sabotage. Not really a fan but it is sad to hear of his passing.

Haven't posted in weeks but this just got me into some introspection! The Bad Girl album is so much a part of what our family get togethers were(yes Brook Benton, Marvin Gaye etc.) that her death most serves to remind me of family values! R.I.P. and I can't wait for the next family gathering, I am now some kid's uncle...

Sad news. I'm gonna get out some of my disco compilation cds tonight and crank it up.
Not my favourite genre of music but love the catchy beats and more often than not, funny lyrics!
